Intermediate Chess will serve as an introduction to learning about the three main sections of a chess game, the opening, the middle game, and the end game. 15 minutes will be spent on each section reviewing some examples with more general guidance on how to learn more. The last 15 minutes will be reserved for questions. At the intermediate level, a combination of reference material and practice is the key to getting better.
Prerequisites for this Intermediate Chess Class
would be successful completion of the Introductory Chess Course, regular play of the game either online or live, possessing a strong desire to improve chess skills, and having some exposure to chess openings from casually browsing through online sites such as
